American Society of Diplomacy and Political Science
The American Society of Diplomacy and Political Sciences is the University’s premier association for diplomats and government officials. It is currently headed by H.E. Alfredo Palacio, 44th President of the Republic of Ecuador. Other prominent members include more than twenty city mayors, five commissioners, and H.E. General Chavalit Yongchaiyudh, former Prime Minister of Thailand. The focus of the American Society of Diplomacy and Political Sciences is to promote good governance and to share experiences among political and community leaders so as to foster sustainable development and peace. Activities include academic conferences, visits to government bodies, public lectures, galas, and short certificate courses in topics related to Diplomacy and Political Sciences. Membership is an honor and bestows the rank of Associate Fellow or Fellow. Members are entitle to wear the medal of American Society of Diplomacy and Political Sciences pending from a green ribbon. There are fellows in more than twenty countries. Membership is by invitation only.
