PAN-AMERICAN ACADEMIC SUMMIT: PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT (JUNE 24, 2019, MIAMI, FLORIDA

The First Pan-American Academic Summit was a great success. This important academic event was sponsored by the Catholic University of New Spain, the Noble Company of Bernardo de Galvez, the American Society of Diplomacy and Political Science and by the following other universities: Isaac Newton University (San Carlos, Costa Rica) and the Universidad Autonoma de Colombia. Keynote speakers included: the honorable Marjorie Murillo, Councilwoman of Miami-Dade, Dr. Greivin Arrieta, Rector of Isaac University, and Dr. Eduardo Hoyos, President of the Universidad Autonoma de Colombia. More than twenty presenters form fifteen different countries and three cultural presentations, Ballet Folklorico Miami, Inc, Ricardo Malfati, and Youth Enlightenment System with its Youth Symphonic Orchestra were some of the highlights of this event. The Catholic University of New Spain aims to host the Second Pan-American Academic Summit in 2020 with double the number of participants.

The Summit included a short certificate workshop on Social Leadership taught by Dr. John P. Linstroth and by Prof. Benjamin De Yurre, faculty members of the Catholic University of New Spain. Thirty full scholarships were donated to leaders of international non-governmental organizations to participate in the workshop. Maria Elena Quiros served as the master of ceremonies for the event and as the liaison with the non-governmental organizations.
