The first Forum for Diplomacy and Governance was held on the 14th of September at the Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center (Miami, Florida). The event was sponsored and organized by: the Catholic University of New Spain, the American Society of Diplomacy and Political Science, and the Noble Company of Bernardo de Galvez. The Forum included an opera performance delivered by Mezzo-Soprano Maria Ratkova and a keynote lecture about Democracy delivered by Prof. Arian Galdini, President of the New Movement Party of Albania. Guests included several members of parliament of the Republic of Albania, a member of the legislative assembly of Ecuador, the Vice-consul of Ecuador, a council-member of the City of Miami-Dade, several prominent academics, and community leaders.
Several people received honors during the event. Professor Arian Galdini was appointed Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Diplomacy and Political Science together with the Honorable Alban Zeneli, Member of Parliament of the Republic of Albania. The Honorable Councilwoman Marjorie Murillo of the City of Miami-Dade received the Commemorative Medal of San Fernando from the Noble Company of Bernardo de Galvez. The well known economist and TV personality, Benjamin DeYurre also received the Commemorative Medal of San Fernando.
