Maria Ratkova is a well known opera singer from Russia. She has performed in more than twenty countries and is considered to be one of the top opera singers in the world. The Catholic University of New Spain invited her to perform at the Forum for Diplomacy and Governance which was held on the 14th of September at the Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center. Her performance was received with a standing ovation from the audience which included government officials and community leaders from more than ten countries. The University bestowed an honorary doctorate on Maria Ratkova for her distinguished career as a classical performer and also for her many years of service in charitable organizations.
