The Academia Patriótica Nacional Antonio Nariño is a selective and very prestigious National Academy of the Republic of Colombia. H.E. Ivan Duque, President of Colombia is the Honorary President and its members are distinguished academics, political leaders, and clergy. Among the members of the Academy are included three former presidents of Colombia, a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church, diplomats, and some of the brightest minds of Latin America. The board of the Academy has voted to recognize the Catholic University of New Spain as an affiliated institution in North America because of the University's rigor and research program.
