The Catholic University of New Spain has appointed a new chief chaplain to strengthen its religious mission. Father Christian Ledergerber Weisson was appointed to serve as chief chaplain in order to supervize the university's chaplains and oversee the religious content of our programs. He was Deacon in the Parish Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Dawn 2018-2019, he was Vicar of El Sagrario Parish of the Cathedral of Guayaquil 2019-2021; and is currently pastor of San Pascual Baylón Church since February 2021. He is a dentist from the Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil, UCSG, 2012. He holds a licentiate in theology from the Pontifical Universitas Sanctæ Crucis, PUSC, 2018. He is currently pursuing his degree in philosophy at the Instituteof Exponential Experience IEX in partnership with UCNE. He is currently the Director of the Archdiocesan Group of Bioethics San Lucas since 2020, he has exercised the Chaplaincy at the Colegio Liceo Panamericano 2021-2022 and at the Balandra Cruz del Sur School 2022. He has taught in the Chair of Metaphysics and Philosophical Problems at the Institute of Exponential Experience IEX until today. He has been invited to several spaces for philosophical dialogue on social media channels such as Conserva-Rondom to discuss issues of philosophy and doctrine due to his high intellectual level. And recently this 2023 he has been summoned as professor of Reading of Philosophical Texts at the Major Seminary of Guayaquil Francisco Xavier de Garaycoa.
