Tribute to Dr. h.c. Greivin Arrieta

Dr. h.c. Greivin Arreita, rector of Isaac Newton University (San Jose, Costa Rica), passed away after a valiant fight against cancer. Dr. Arrieta had received multiple accolades for his tireless work promoting education, including several honorary doctorates and membership in the Noble Company of Bernardo de Galvez. His work in the field of secondary and tertiary education was innovative and brought hope and light to hundreds of students in Costa Rica and the world.

Dr. Arrieta was elected to the 15th chair of the International Academy of Social Sciences (IASS), one of the few Costaricans to achieve this high honor. His legacy lives on in the institutions that he established and in the hearts of those who were blessed with knowing him.
